Sheila and Kelvin

What do you get when you invite your family and friends over for a destination wedding in Dubai, choose One & Only Royal Mirage as a venue for your blessing ceremony and combine different cultures and traditions in one big celebration? You get a magical day, and we were fortunate enough to share those fabulous moments of delight and capture an exceptional wedding!

Sheila and Kelvin got married on a beautiful sunny day in Dubai. You could not ask for a better weather: gentle breath was playing with Sheila’s hair, and love was in the air. When we shoot outdoor events we feel like Mother Nature gives us a great assistance and everything falls into place. Some of you might have heard that the natural light is the best when it comes to photography and videography. Our favorite time is sunset when the sun is so tender and loving.

Going back to our newlyweds, the day started with Sheila and her bridesmaids getting ready at the bride’s house. After a brief photo session, the bridal party headed off to the One & Only Royal Mirage for a remarkably scenic blessing ceremony on the beach, where Kelvin had already been waiting patiently for his beautiful bride. Sheila's father walked her down the aisle and trusted his daughter’s hand in marriage to Kelvin. That was one of the most tender moments of the day, and we could barely hold our tears.

After a heart warming ceremony and cheerful felicitations the newlyweds retired from the crown to enjoy the romantic moments of the portrait photo session around the hotel and on a boat that took them on a short cruise to their reception venue at One & Only The Palm. The sun was getting down and we got plenty of opportunity to capture many stunning sunset images.

When the cruise was over the couple joined the guests for a festive dinner that was lit up with touching speeches, cake cutting, and lots of dancing. The highlight of the reception was Sheila and Kelvin’s grand appearance in a traditional Nigerian wedding outfit accompanied by a cheerful confetti welcome.

Here is a selection of our favorite wedding pictures from Sheila & Kelvin’s wedding day. We hope that you will like them as much as we do.
